Michael Stillman [summary page] has degrees from Bowdoin College, the University of Lowell, and Boston University, thereby favoring schools in former or current Massachusetts locales.
Before becoming a medical writer and editor, he enjoyed six years as a Neuroscientist with the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine, researching neurochemical and biobehavioral consequences of stress. When not consulting, he had staff positions with a New Jersey medical communications company, government & commercial software companies, and most recently at two major medical device companies.
Dr. Stillman has taught several courses in the behavioral and biological disciplines at Boston College, Boston University, Fisher College, Massachusetts Bay Community College, Newbury College, and Lasell College.
To balance his technical side, Mike enjoys softball and music. He's been in bands of some sort since junior high, and wishes he were half his age around 1:00 AM on gig nights. Mike has been in one cover band for about four years and his 2nd band launched successfully last year.
Yes, the photo is a bit dated. Twins and life in general have lightened the hair. Mike promises to replace it with a current photo the next time he wears a tie and takes a halfway decent picture (don't hold your breath).
Personal note: Thanks to all who caught one (or more of) the new band's gigs these past few months.
